Madhyamam–Teen India “Run- for- Freedom” mini marathon to be held Aug 15

Kozhikode: The “Run-for Freedom” mini marathon, conducted jointly by Madhyamam and Teen India, would be held on August 15 in selected centers.

The purpose of the marathon is to convey the essence of freedom to the youngsters and make them better citizens. Children from classes 6, 7 and 8 will be participating. Those who wish to take part can register online or through sms.

The first 200 applicants would be permitted to participate.

The flag off will be held at Manakad Girls Higher Secondary school in Thiruvananthapuram, High School junction in Kollam, GDM ground at Kayamkulam in Alappuzha, Kottayam Nehru stadium, Aluva Agricultural Cooperative Bank in Ernakulam district, Thrissur – Shakthan palace premises, Palakkad – Pezhumkara Model School, Malappuram – Aalathoorpidi, Kozhikode – Tagore Central Hall premises, Wayanad – Batheri Beenachi High School, Kannur – Vilakunthara stadium, and at New bus stand in Kasaragod.

Prizes would be distributed for first, second and third places while all the participants would be given certificates. Medals will also be awarded to those who complete the marathon. Celebrities from the sports field will be attending the function.
