Basti: From Uttar Pradesh, what now caught the mirth of netizens is a couple of toilet seats in a single enclosure without even a partition. NDTV reports that the strange loo has hit the headlines, too, in addition to photographs of the same going viral on social media.

The said toilet has been located in a toilet complex at Gaura Dhundha village in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. Built at the cost of Rs 10 lakh, the toilet complex or Izzat Ghar, as per the government terminology, is not effective as a community toilet.

The said Izzat Ghar has multiple cubicles with two toilet seats without a partition, and some others don't even have a door.

The district administration, however, responded that the matter is being probed. It had sought explanations from concerned officials.

NDTV quoted District Panchayat Raj Officer Namrata Sharan, "Concerned officials have been asked to explain why toilet enclosures at the complex do not have doors, while some have two toilet seats without any partition."

She added that the administration had asked those concerned to explain under what circumstances such a design was made.

Meanwhile, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said that appropriate action would be issued against those found responsible for the issue for their negligence.
