Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) visited the Yadadri temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of the state and offered a cheque for one kg of gold on Friday. The CM's family offered silk clothes to the lord of the temple, PTI reported.

During the visit to the temple, KCR, along with ministers and officials, reviewed its development. He gave directions so that the constructions of the temple complex were magnificent.

An official statement said that KCR directed the state finance department to release Rs 43 crore for the development of Yadadri immediately and said the Revenue Department would hand over 2,157 acres of land to Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority which would manage the lands.

He suggested that the land be used for temple needs, Police departments, fire station, health, transportation, parking, and ancillary services related to the development of Yadadri, the release said.

Further, he ordered the allocation of houses for Yadadri temple priests and the staff in the mentioned land.

The release later mentioned the CM's order to develop 'Nrisimha Abhayaranyam' (thick forest) on 100 acres and a magnificent 'kalyana mandapam' (marriage hall) in the name of 'Ammavaru' on 50 acres.

The CM and his family attended a special puja of the Lord Laksmi Narasimha Swamy, PTI reported.
