New Delhi: As Rahul Gandhi is being grilled by ED every day, all eyes are on Sonia Gandhi.

Congress interim president, according to India Today, is getting treatment for a fungal infection in her lower respiratory tract.

On June 12 Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.

She was ailing from Covid complications including nose bleeding, according to India Today.

On June 23, Enforcement Directorate served her notice to appear in the money laundering case.

Sonia was summoned on June 8 but she could not make it after being tested positive for Covid on June 2.

Her office had written to the ED seeking a fresh date.

ED is probing the alleged financial irregularities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, registered about 9 months ago.

ED probe followed after a trail court took cognizance of the Income-Tax Department's investigation based on former BJP MP Subramanian Swamy's a complaint in 2013, according to The Hindu.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is already being questioned by ED and his next deposition before the ED is scheduled on Monday.
