New Delhi: Donning the iconic red "coolie" shirt and lifting luggage, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is seen engaging with the porters at Delhi's Anand Vihar Railway Station in a viral video.

In the viral clip, the Wayanad MP can be seen surrounded by porters while Rahul, in a display of camaraderie, lifts an empty trolley bag amid the chants of 'Rahul Gandhi Zindabad' echoing around him.

The purpose of Rahul Gandhi's visit was to engage with the porters and workers at the railway station, attentively listening to their concerns and challenges.

The Congress party expressed its support for this initiative by posting on social media: "People's leader Rahul Gandhi met porters at Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi today. Recently, a video went viral in which the porters of the railway station had expressed their desire to meet him. Today Rahul reached there and listened to them. Bharat Jodo journey continues."

Youth Congress president Srinivas BV also took to social media to laud Rahul Gandhi's efforts, sharing the heart-warming video of the leader carrying bags and captioning it as "People's Hero." The post was accompanied by the song "Hum Mehnatkash Is Duniya Se" from the 1983 movie "Mazdoor," emphasizing the dedication and hard work of the porters.

This visit is part of a broader series of public outreach efforts by Rahul Gandhi.

In the past, he met with a group of delivery workers in Bengaluru and even rode on one of their scooters to experience their daily challenges. He also visited the Azadpur Mandi in Delhi, engaging in conversations with vendors and labourers.
