A German language testing center, the largest of its kind in India under government operations, has been inaugurated in Angamaly.

The center has been established under the leadership of the Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultancy (ODEPC), a public sector undertaking functioning under the Department of Labour.

The launch event, held at Angamaly South Inkel Business Park, was inaugurated by German Consul General Ahim Burkart, with ODEPC Chairman Adv. K.P. Anilkumar presided over the ceremony. Key speeches were delivered by Thorsten Kiefer, Executive Director of the German Government Agency DEFA, and K.A. Anoop, Managing Director of ODEPC.

The event was attended by notable figures, including TELC Business Development Manager Renuka Panchpore, Chief Legal Officer of DEFA Anja Wyson, DEFA Migration Consultants Edna Muliro and Carmen Hasler, and TELC Examiner Vidya Pingli.

The new testing center is expected to significantly benefit job seekers from Kerala aspiring to work in Germany. Adv. K.P. Anilkumar highlighted that the government will cover essential costs for individuals admitted to the program, including tuition fees, examination charges, visa processing, and air travel expenses.
