New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is implementing Prophet Muhammad's messages and doing things that were endorsed by Islam through the BJP government's various schemes, BJP minority morcha chief Jamal Siddiqui said. He added that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' and Startup India are all in line with Islamic teachings, The Print reported.

Siddiqui told The Print that cleanliness is essential in Islam as Prophet had taught that it contributes half of faith. PM Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and anyone could see the change it brought, he said.

He also said that, during Prophet's time, daughter's were buried alive or killed in the womb. Prophet had asked them then to educate girls and taught that Quran speaks against infanticide.

It was none other than Modi who launched the campaign 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', which emphasises saving girl children and educating them too, he added.

Although Siddiqui explained prime minister's initiatives as in line with Prophet's teachings, Modi himself has not any time so far identified the schemes with any teachings of Islam or make any such statements.

Siddiqui explained that the first verse in the Quran was read, and it says how Islam emphasised education. But Muslims stop at religious education. Modi had given education more importance so that even Madrasa education is also being modernised, he further said.
