New Delhi: Following a piercing 'no family' remark by RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, top leaders of BJP added the 'Modi Ka Parivar' suffix to their X usernames. Those who did this include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party president J P Nadda, Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, The Indian Express reported.

After a speech by Modi with a dynasty politics jab on the Opposition, Lalu mocked the PM on Sunday, asking what they can do if Modi does not have a family of his own. He asked what Modi is and if Modi is a thing. Modi speaks on dynastic politics and keeps counting how many leaders have their children in politics, but he does not have a family is not their problem, Lalu implied.

According to Hindustan Times, Lalu further said that Modi keeps bragging about the Ram Temple, but he is no True Hindu. According to him, Hindu tradition mandates a son to shave his head and beard when his parent dies. But Modi did not do so when his mother died, Lalu said.

However, Modi retorted to Lalu's taunts that "dynastic parties" may have different faces, but their common character is "shoot and loot". He claimed that the 140 core people of the country is his family. "Mera Bharat mera parivar (My India is my family)," TIE quoted him.

He claimed his life is like an open book, and the people of the country are aware of it. He left his home in his childhood with a dream that he would live for his countrymen, Modi claimed.

The PM is on a 10-day lightening tour of the country to visit 12 states and Union Territories, promising many with lakhs of crores worth of development projects, obviously in view of Lok Sabha polls. The Election Commission has not yet declared the election schedule or the Model Code of Conduct.
