MK Stalin lashes out at BJP with podcast in multiple languages
text_fieldsChennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin in a podcast, named "Speaking for India" said that "nobody can save India’ if the BJP is not stopped now.
Released in four different languages -- Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, in the podcast Stalin alleged that PM Modi made false promise of depositing ₹ 15 lakh in everyone’s account.
The BJP quickly hit back at Stalin saying that the claims he made were all lies, adding PM Modi never promised the money would be deposited in everyone’s account.
Stalin said the BJP didn't fulfil any of its promises like social welfare in its last nine years at the Center.
Further the Tamil Nadu chief minister said that farmers’ income didn’t double as promised, two crore jobs annually did not happen and Rs 15 lakh each was not deposited as promised.
Campaigning for the Opposition’s alliance INDIA, he said that the grouping must win in order to stop entire India from turning into Manipur and Haryana.
Manipur witnessed raging ethnic violence over several weeks recently, and subsequently, there was communal violence in Haryana after a religious procession was attacked, NDTV reported.
Calling for a ‘multicultural and diverse India’, he alleged that BJP under the cover up of communalism ‘dismantled and handed over’ public sector undertakings to ‘friendly corporations’.
Referring to the 2002 Gujarat riots, DMK chief said the ‘hatred sown’ there resulted in violence in Manipur and communal clashes in Haryana in 2023.
Expanding on INDIA alliance he said it is formed for social justice, social harmony, federalism, secular politics and socialism.
Stressing on the importance of countering the BJP, he warned that “nobody can save India if this is not stopped now".
Countering Stalin’s criticism, Tamil Nadu BJP Vice President Narayanan Tirupati said that he was happy that ‘at least now MK Stalin accepts India as one nation'.
