Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh: The state government gave the order to demolish the home of Pravesh Shukla, who is charged in the Sidhi urination case.

Following the viral video of the accused urinating on a man on Tuesday, the suspect was detained.

The accused's family members claimed that the video that led to his detention was an old one that has recently gained attention as the elections get near. This was mentioned as the officials arrived at the accused's home with a bulldozer.

"It's an old video being circulated for political and electoral reasons," the accused's sister claimed.

Pravesh Shukla is now being held at Rewa Central Jail after being arrested for violating the National Security Act (NSA).

Earlier, his father had said, "There is no way my son could have done this. This is a conspiracy to frame him. We were also very distressed after we saw the video."

Tuesday, in response to the viral video, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra denounced the crime and claimed that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had ordered prompt legal action against the accused.

"Strict action will be taken against the accused," Narottam Mishra said on Tuesday.

Earlier a case was filed against the accused youth under the National Security Act at the Chief Minister's request after the video of his indecent behaviour became viral online.

The incident happened in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district in the village of Kubri.

According to the viral video, the accused was allegedly caught urinating on the face of a man in a drunken state.

Pravesh Shukla, the accused, was recognised as a Kubri villager.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan took cognizance of the situation after the video quickly gained popularity on social media and ordered strict action against the offenders. He also requested that the suspect be charged with the NSA.

"A viral video of Sidhi district has come to my notice. I have instructed the administration to arrest the accused and take strict action against him and also impose NSA," CM Chouhan tweeted on his official handle.

Further, according to the police, following the CM's instruction, a case was registered against the accused at Bahari police station under IPC sections 294, 504, sections 3(1) (r)(s) of SC/ST Act and the NSA.
