Madhya Pradesh man shoots dead 2 neighbours after pet dogs fought
text_fieldsBhopal: A man in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal shot dead two people and injured six others in his neighourhood following a brawl over pet dogs.
Rajpal Singh Rajawat, who is a security guard, opened fire from his balcony last night terrorising Krishna Bagh Colony here, NDTV reported.
It all began at 11 pm Thursday when Rajawat and his neighbour Vimal Achala, 35, were walking their dogs along a narrow lane in the colony.
The animals lunged at each other, causing a brawl between the dogs’ owners, police said.
Rajawat rushed over to his first-floor home and fired at Achala using a 12-bore rifle.
A footage showed Rajawat firing a warning shot in the air before training his gun on the street below.
As the shots ranged out, there followed loud screams from the street.
Achala, who ran a hair salon, and another neighbour 27-year-old Rahul Verma were killed in the firing.
At least six others with bullet injuries have been hospitalized, with two of them in serious condition, police said.
Police arrested Rajawat, his son Sudhir and another relative, Shubham alongside filing a case of murder.
Rajawat, who is a native of Gwalior, was hired for security job as he possessed a licensed 12-bore rifle, police said.
