Amritsar: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested the people of Uttarakhand and Goa to elect his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to power and promised that his 'new' party would deliver development as well as welfare schemes, Asian News International reported.

Kejriwal, the national convenor of AAP, told ANI on Sunday that both in Uttarakhand and Goa, Congress and BJP ruled for ten years each only to loot the people. Goa was under Congress' rule for 27 years, while BJP ruled it 15 years. If the people vote for them again, they will carry on looting them, so people must choose AAP this time, he said.

Kejriwal said that the two states must give AAP a chance, and he promised the party would provide what it has done for Delhi and listed the developments it had done in the Union territory in the sectors of education, health and power.

Kejriwal's promises for Uttarakhand were better healthcare services and schools in all villages. His party will expand employment opportunities in order to stop the migration of people in search of jobs. The party will also bring back those who have already left searching jobs, Kejriwal promised.

For Goa, he promised the initiation of mining within six months into power, granting land rights and promoting tourism. These were in addition to promises of schools, hospitals and employment opportunities.

Kejriwal said that AAP's Chief Minister face in Goa, Amit Palekar, is an honest man and not corrupt. At the same time, the party's Uttarakhand CM candidate, Col (Retd), Ajay Kothiyal, has trained 10,000 children post his retirement. He had got them admitted into the army.

Finally, he aimed a slap on Congress, saying that those against BJP should vote for AAP since Congress candidates will ultimately join BJP. According to him, it is obvious that on March 11, all the Congress' candidates would become BJP, and those against BJP will waste their votes. He urged people to bring his party to power with a full majority.

Goa, with 40 assembly seats and Uttarakhand with 70, will head to polls on February 14.
