New Delhi: In response to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar's remarks about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal becoming Prime Minister, AAP leader and Delhi Education Minister Atishi Marlena on Wednesday clarified that Kejriwal is not a prime ministerial candidate.

Atishi said that these were Kakkar's personal remarks and not the official party stand, adding that Kejriwal was not at all a part of the PM race.

She further said that the AAP party is a part of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) because they want to save the country as there is a need to save the constitution as well as the country.

Earlier, Priyanka Kakkar had said that she wanted to see Kejriwal as the next PM.

Kakkar had said that she wanted Arvind Kejriwal to be the leader of the alliance as he is continuously fighting for the betterment of the country.

“Speaking in my capacity as a party spokesperson, I would nominate Arvind Kejriwal for the post of prime minister. He has consistently championed peoples’ concerns and implemented a model that has led to minimal inflation in Delhi,” Kakkar said.
