Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao came out with a video to prove how BJP is working diligently to topple democratically elected governments in states where it had failed to form its governments.

In a press meeting on Thursday, convened after voting in the Munugode constituency, KCR released the video, in which it can be seen the alleged BJP agents were in talks with the TRS MLAs, making itself a case of alleged poaching with the intention to overthrow his government in Telangana.

The media persons heard KCR saying in the presence of his cabinet colleagues that a similar conspiracy is in progress to dethrone the non-BJP governments in Rajasthan, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh which he stressed as a matter of concern, recalling the successful incidents of BJP taking over the opposition governments at the instance of these dark-hands who are working behind the curtains.

Chief Minister KCR said he had waited for the voting in Munugode to end peacefully as a reason to come out now with the video of the alleged poaching incident which had happened last week so that the secret operation carried out by the Telangana police in a farmhouse in Aziz Nagar on the tip-off of TRS MLAs shall not be misinterpreted.

Apart from the three persons, who were later arrested on the charge of bribing TRS MLAs, seen in the video, KCR singled out Thushar Vellappally, a leader of Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) that allies with the BJP in Kerala, as the kingpin of this poaching incidents, at whose behest the money has been arranged for MLAs, he said.

On October 26, the Cyberabad police had arrested Ramachandra Bharathi alias Satish Sharma, Nandu Kumar and Swamiyaji in the sensational case, as they allegedly tried to poach four TRS MLAs. The arrested persons were operating as a 24-member team, and so far toppled eight governments in the country, the CM alleged.

In the video KCR had played before the media, it can be heard the accused were offering Rs 50 crore to MLAs for the deal. Apart from money, the MLAs were offered immunity from ED and IT, and Y category security, the CM said.

KCR also charged the accused with using Modi's name twice and Shah's name at least 20 times, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to probe into the affairs of these men and the source of money to the tune of crores which they had.

Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao also alleged that the accused had even told the TRS MLAs, as an attempt to take the MLAs into confidence, that the BJP would form government at the Centre as long as EVMs were in use for the voting.

The CM raised the poaching concerns, questioning the electoral process in a democratic country, where the incidents of MLAs are being bought with the crores to make way for a particular party.

He said the video and other materials that have been collected by the investigation agencies have been sent to the Chief Justice of India UU Lalit, the Supreme Court judges and all the High Court judges, Chief Ministers, Director Generals of Police of all states, CBI, ED, presidents of all political parties and media houses to make them aware of these malicious activities in the process.

He urged for action from the judiciary against the poaching incident, which he called the death knell of democracy, investing his confidence in the judiciary which, he termed, timely intervened to rescue the system from falling.

"I request honourable judges of the Supreme Court and honourable CJ of all High Courts to take the matter as a serious one and initiate actions in accordance with the law so as to ensure the protection of the democracy, the one of which is gone everything is gone and the people will lose their confidence in the nation," KCR said.

He also appealed to PM Modi, asking for his intervention in the matter, and reminding the instance of the accused using the names of Modi and Amit Shah, KCR urged PM Modi to honour the people's mandate and stop overthrowing the democratically elected governments.

Accusing the BJP of indulging in the act of undermining democracy, the Chief Minister asked people, youth and media to condemn the BJP for its action against democracy. "Else we will all vanish," he said. He added, "If such violent actions and political destruction aren't stopped, if we don't stand firm against them, if everyone doesn't play their respective roles, the nation's status and dignity will be lost on a global level," said Chandrasekhar Rao.
