Kangana Ranaut claims detractors are after her for election gains, files FIR
text_fieldsBollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has filed an FIR against this who sent her threats on Instagram after a post in which she accused the nationwide farmers protests as having a strong 'Khalistani' influence. In addition to this she has also called for Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi to take action against such people.
"I am getting constant threats from disruptive forces on this very post of mine. A brother from Bathinda has openly threatened to kill me. I am not afraid of these types of threats. I speak against those who conspire against the country and terrorist forces and will always speak. Be it Naxalites killing innocent jawans, tukde tukde gangs or terrorists sitting abroad who were dreaming of making Khalistan by cutting the holy land of Gurus in Punjab in the eighties," she said in the Instagram post where she had shared the news.
The actress said she was unafraid to express her opinions on issues that affected the country, even in the face of threats. There were 'internal traitors' conspiring to take down India and she was steadfastly opposing such forces the actress said.
"The traitors never left a single opportunity to tarnish Mother India for money and sometimes for position and power. Traitors inside the country kept on helping the anti-national forces by conspiring, leading to such incidents," Ranaut's post read.
Kangana had posted the statement along with a picture of herself, sister Rangoli Chandel and mother Asha Ranaut at the famous Golden Temple. She hinted that those trying to take her down had eyes to make election gains in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
"Democracy is the biggest strength of our country. Any party may form the government but the fundamental right to protect the integrity, unity and fundamental rights of citizens and expression of ideas has been given to us by the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar. I have never said anything derogatory or hateful about any caste, religion, or group," her post reads.
The actress has been at the center of a storm of controversy since her comments on the repealing of farm laws by the Central Government went viral. Ranaut had praised Chief Minister Indira Gandhi in a series of posts and alluded to 'Khalistani' agitators driving the farmer's protests, whereas Indira Gandhi had 'crushed' such elements under her heels.
