Gujarat woman bleeds to death after sex as boyfriend searches remedies online

Ahmedabad: A 23-year-old nursing student died from heavy bleeding as her boyfriend wasted precious time searching remedies online in Gujarat, NDTV reported.
The woman suffered vaginal tears while having sex at a hotel in the Navsari district on September 23.
Her boyfriend, 26, wasted 90 minutes searching online how to stop bleeding, instead of calling an ambulance.
The couple, who met on social media around seven months ago, checked into the hotel on September 23, according to abplive.com.
The woman, a first-year nursing student in Navsari, suffered vaginal bleeding during sex and the boyfriend did not immediately take her to hospital, instead searched solutions online, police said.
He tried to stop bleeding by using cloth which did not work, leaving the woman fainted.
Terrified, he called a friend to get to the hotel and took the woman to a private hospital.
The hospital referred her to the Civil Hospital where she was declared dead.
Meanwhile, the man reached out to her parents over phone but she had already died when they arrived.
The woman’s body was sent to a forensic test at Surat Civil Hospital.
According to the post-mortem report, the woman died of haemorrhagic shock.
Superintendent of Police Sushil Agrawal reportedly said that if ‘the woman had received emergency medical aid with IV fluids, blood, and medicines, she would have survived’.
The boyfriend was arrested and a case was filed against him.
