New Delhi: The BJP MP in Delhi and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir has been trapped in a controversy after the Delhi government's drug controller has informed the Delhi High Court that the Gautam Gambhir Foundation has been involved in non-authorised stocking, procuring and distributing Fabiflu medicine to COVID-19 patients.

In a report submitted by the Drug regulator in the HC, it is mentioned that the Gautam Gambhir Foundation has been found guilty of non-authorised stocking, procuring and distributing Fabiflu medicine to COVID-19 patients.

The drug controller also submitted that immediate action will be taken against the foundation, drug dealers as well as other such cases which would be brought to its notice, as reported by the news agency Press Trust of India.

The court was also informed about a similar offence by MLA Praveen Kumar under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

The court asked the drug controller to file status reports on further progress in these cases within six weeks and listed the matter for hearing on July 29.
