Former Union Minister Jai Singh Rao quits BJP
text_fieldsMumbai: Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Jai Sing Rao Gaikwad Patil resigned from the party on Tuesday. He sent his resignation letter to Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil, accusing that the party is suppressing him by shirking from responsibilities.
"I am willing to work for the party, but the party is not giving me a chance, so I decided to quit", says Jaisingh Rao. "The party haven't considered me for a decade without giving any responsibilities", he added. Rao resigned from the BJP's primary membership who was currently a member of the BJP's state working committee.
Rao wished to work and strengthen the party so he kept asking for such responsibility for a decade where party did not give him a chance. He claimed that the party does not want those who have made efforts to build the party in the state.
The BJP president Chandrakant Patil declined to comment on the resignation of Jais Singh Rao. Eknath Khadse, a senior BJP leader from Maharashtra, also left the party last month, joined NCP. However, Rao haven't revealed about his entry to other party.
