New Delhi: Former Shia Waqf Board Chairman Waseem Rizvi, who converted to Hinduism, changed his name again. Rizvi adopted the name Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi immediately after his conversion. However, he changed his name for the third time because that name was not enough and adopted the new name Thakur Jitendra Narayan Singh Sengar.

Wasim Rizvi converted to Hinduism on December 6, 2021. Several cases were also registered against Jitendra Narayan who was constantly making controversial remarks.

He was arrested by the police for giving a hate speech at the Haridwar Dharma Sansad within two weeks of his conversion. Jitendra Tyagi was arrested for calling for Muslim Genocide in the Dharma Sansad held from December 17 to 19, 2021.

Jwalapur police in Haridwar filed a case against 10 people including Jitendra, controversial priest of the Dasna temple near Ghaziabad, Yati Narasinghananada, Hindu Mahasabha General Secretary Sadhvi Annapurna, Sindhu Sagar, Dharamdas, Paramananda, Anand Swarup, Ashwini Upadhyay, Suresh Chavan and others in the controversial event.
