New Delhi: The Delhi police have arrested the man who supplied a firearm to the blue-Kurta shooter, Imam a.k.a. Sonu Chikna a.k.a. Yunus, in the Jahangirpuri violence case, IANS reported.

The supplier, Ghulam Rasool a.k.a. Gilli, was arrested two days after the arrest of Imam, who was nabbed on April 18. A manhunt was initiated after Imam's arrest to catch his Ghulam.

Illiterate Ghulam, born in Jahangirpuri in 1995, was a fish shopkeeper before he turned criminal. He was arrested twice before for theft in 2017 and 2020. He burgled houses but got caught both times.

Officials informed that interrogating Ghulam was easy. "He reveals everything by just simple interrogation," said a source.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police is conducting a bone ossification test on a minor who is among the accused in the Jahangirpuri incident, IANS reported, citing sources. The police would need to approach Rohini court for permission for the said test.

Police said, "We had shown him as an adult and filled his arresting memo. Later he claimed that he was a juvenile. His family reached the court and submitted documents of his to prove that he was a minor. After the order of the court, the accused was sent to JJB. Later, theJJB sent him to a child observation home." They added that the person might have played a trick to save himself from the case.

Police also said that they are examining the documents submitted by the juvenile's family, and if they find that the documents were forged, another case of fraud will be charged against his family.
