Chennai: A 55-year-old man and his 30-year-old son allegedly killed a restaurant supervisor in Chennai following a dispute over extra sambar on Wednesday.

The victim, Arun (30), was working at an Adyar Ananda Bhavan restaurant located on Pammal Main Road in Pallavaram, Chennai.

The accused, Shankar and his son Arun Kumar placed an order for takeaway, according to Free Press Journal.

When they asked for additional sambhar, the restaurant staff refused, breaking out an argument.

After Shankar and Arun assaulted the restaurant's security guard, when restaurant supervisor Arun tried to calm them down the pair attacked him.

Arun who lost consciousness was rushed to Chrompet Government Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The Shankar Nagar Police started probe arresting the father and the son.
