New Delhi: A recent incident in the Delhi metro has gained attention as an elderly woman intervened to stop a couple from engaging in public display of affection (PDA) during their commute.

The incident highlights the ongoing trend of couples engaging in intimate behavior in public spaces.

In this particular case, a girl was seen playfully touching her partner while they were in a crowded coach. The elderly woman passenger, witnessing this scene, raised her voice against such behavior and opposed such acts being performed openly in a public transport setting.

This incident is not an isolated one, as the Delhi metro has witnessed multiple instances of PDA and other inappropriate behavior in recent times. In May of this year, a couple was filmed kissing each other while seated on the floor of the Delhi metro in front of other passengers, sparking outrage online.

Additionally, videos of fights and obscene behavior have been reported from the Delhi metro, including instances of public masturbation and sexual acts taking place inside the train. Visuals showing a semi-naked girl traveling in the metro and creating social media content also surfaced online, leading authorities to address the matter and take necessary action.

In response to these incidents, it was reported that a flying squad would be introduced in the metro coaches to address and curb such behavior.

Some people, however, called out the elderly woman for being jealous.
