Delhi govt might halt vaccination program out of vaccine shortage, says AAP Leader
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Amid the national capital has faced the most COVID induced hardship during the second wave of pandemic in the country, Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Atishi demanded the central government to provide vaccines in sufficient quantities for the people of Delhi.
She also said that the government will be forced but to halt the vaccination programme as there is no other choice, If sufficient vaccine doses is not supplied by the centre.
In a video on Tuesday she added that Delhi government will be compelled to shutdown 125 vaccination centres as the stock of Covaxin in Delhi for those aged between 18-45 years is completely finished.
In a video address on Tuesday, Atishi also informed that "Only three days stock of Covishield is left for those between 18-45 years. She also added that only 5 days stock left of Covaxin, and 4 days of Covishield for health care/frontline workers and those above 45 years.
Atishi told mediapersons that as many as 1,39,261 people got vaccinated in Delhi in the last 24 hours, the highest till date.She also thanked all the health care/frontline workers and staff of government schools for the achievement.
