Dalit woman in Bihar stripped naked, urinated upon for ₹ 1,500 loan

Patna/New Delhi: A Dalit woman in Bihar’s Patna is hospitalized after being brutally attacked by a moneylender and his son.
She was allegedly stripped and urinated upon after the woman refused to pay additional interest for the money her husband had borrowed from the village strongman, NDTV reported.
The woman's husband borrowed ₹ 1,500 from Pramod Singh in Mosimpur village of Patna district, police reportedly said.
Though the couple repaid the whole amount, Pramod Singh kept demanding additional interest which the family refused to pay.
When she went out to fetch water on Saturday night, Pramod and his son Anshu along with their four aides forced her to accompany them, she alleged.
When they were at a deserted place, the men thrashed her with sticks and stripped her naked, officials said.
Pramod Singh then asked Anshu to urinate in her mouth, which he allegedly did, according to the report.
Her family went out to search for her and found the woman running to the home naked.
The woman is getting treated for serious head injuries at a hospital here, police said.
