Cyberabad imposes curfew near NEET (UG) re exam centres on June 21

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Dr M Ramesh on Friday imposed a curfew across the commissionerate on Sunday, June 21, ahead of the NEET (UG) 2026 re examination.

The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), bans assemblies of five or more people within 200 metres of examination centres. The curfew will be in force from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day of the exam.

Internet cafes and photocopy shops located within 100 metres of exam venues have been directed to remain closed. The restrictions do not apply to flying squad members, military personnel, police officials, on duty home guards and funeral processions, the release said.
