Hyderabad: Amid ongoing assembly elections in Telangana, a pre-poll survey has brought encouraging prospects for the Congress party, suggesting a monumental win in the state.
According to the survey findings, it forecasts that the Congress is poised to claim its first-ever victory in Telangana, securing a substantial majority.
The state currently witnesses a competitive landscape with the BJP also vying for progress, indicating a challenging three-way contest. However, the survey underscores that the BJP might not experience significant advancements in the electoral scenario.
The Lokpoll pre-poll survey hints at a promising outcome for the Congress in the upcoming 119-seat Telangana assembly elections, estimating a clear majority of 69 to 72 seats.
Meanwhile, the ruling party, led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's BRS, is projected to secure 36 to 39 seats in the assembly.
The survey further anticipates that Asaduddin Uwaisi's party will clinch 5 to 6 seats, while the BJP is expected to secure up to three seats in the electoral fray.
