New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi has said that China and Pakistan joined forces to give a ‘surprise’ to India, which is extremely vulnerable, reported news agency ANI.

A YouTube video of Rahul Gandhi interacting with Armed Forces' veterans during the Bharat Jodo Yatra showed him saying that “China and Pakistan have come together”.

There will be major loss for the country if a war happens with them both as the country is now extremely vulnerable, he said.

“I don't just have respect for you (Army) but also love and affection for you. You defend this nation. This nation would not exist without you," he was quoted as saying.

Expanding on India's policy on neigbours he said that earlier the country had two enemies China and Pakistan but India kept them separate but today there is one front as they are working together ‘militarily but also economically’ against India.

Calling out Modi administration’s policies he said India’s economy has slowed down after 2014 alongside there is disturbance, confusion and hatred in the nation.

Rahul Gandhi asked the government to explain to the people what happened at the border and added that China and Pakistan are preparing a surprise for India, meaning a war against India.

“Actually, we had to act five years ago but we did not do it. If we don't act fast, then there will be a big loss. I am extremely concerned with what is happening at the border in Arunachal and Ladakh" he added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on December 13 told Rajya Sabha that Chinese troops attempted to unilaterally change the status quo at the the Line of Actual Control in Yangtse area of Arunachal Pradesh Tawang Sector.
