CBI summons AAP's Manish Sisodia, another leader warns of arrest
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The controversial Delhi excise policy case is back in the limelight again after Central Bureau of Investigation summoned Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for Monday.
Manish Sisodia has been directed to report to the agency at 11 in the morning tomorrow to take questions in the case, according to NDTV.
The CBI previously raided twenty places including Sisodia' house over the alleged excise scam.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj told a press conference that Sisodia will be arrested tomorrow.
Bhardwaj said the BJP is scared of the upcoming Gujarat election where he said AAP is directly taking on the saffron party.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said the CBI summons is happening in the context of the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Sisodia said CBI found nothing by raiding several places in Delhi. He said he fully cooperated with the investigating agency during the raids.
Sisodia was quoted as saying that CBI found nothing after raiding his house, bank locker and even turning up in his village.
He tweeted in Hindi as CBI summoned him to its headquarters in the morning he will cooperated with it.
Back then, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal compared Sisodia to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
However, the CBI went on with probe in the case arresting a close aid of Sisodia's Vijay Nair, who is AAP's communications chief.
