Mumbai: Two motorbike-borne assailants shot at former Malegaon mayor and AIMIM leader Abdul Malik early on Monday in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. Malik was injured from the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He is reportedly in stable condition, The Indian Express reported.

The incident reportedly happened at 1:20 am while Malik was outside a shop on the Old Agra road, a Malegaon city police officer said, adding that authorities are investigating the attack.
