Haryana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed on Thursday that the West Bengal government issued OBS certificates to Muslims, who are infiltrators, overnight.
Modi seems to be in no mind to stop spewing hate speeches in his poll rallies despite the Election Commission flagging the same multiple times.
In this election season, he had made multiple claims that non-BJP-ruled states or the previous Congress governments in the Centre appeased Muslims and delivered benefits or freebies, showing bias towards the community. This could be in a bid to polarize voters and turn the majority's vote in BJP's favour.
On Thursday, Modi claimed that the West Bengal government issued OBC certificates to Muslims overnight, who are infiltrators. But Calcutta High Court invalidated all the certificates issued to Muslims, he claimed.
"In West Bengal, they have issued OBC certificates to Muslims overnight and that too to infiltrators. The High Court has invalidated all the OBC certificates issued to Muslims," Modi claimed, and this was heard in a video posted by Editorji on their website.
Modi continued claiming that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee intends to challenge the high court order in order to give Muslims OBC reservation.
A week ago, Modi claimed that if Congress and Samajwadi Party were elected to power, they would bulldoze down the Ram Temple in an effort to squeeze even the last juice out of the temple matter for Lok Sabha polls gain.
Earlier this month, the PM claimed that reservations for Muslims will extend to sports, potentially leading to an increase in the representation of Muslims in India's cricket. Emphasizing the need for the BJP to surpass the 400-seat mark this time at a rally in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that more seats for the BJP in the Lok Sabha would ensure that the Congress could not pursue its divisive agendas, such as deciding the cricket team based on religion, locking the Ram Temple as it did for Babri in Ayodhya, or reinstating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
