New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the recent Assembly poll results prove people's approve BJP stands for poor, and its governance is pro-active, IANS reported.

Modi said that BJP had delivered all basic amenities like water, power, cooking gas etc., to the commoners. "The BJP has ensured that each and every poor man receives all the benefits that are due to him, and I will not rest till every single poor man gets his due," he said.

He said that he knows the troubles to run a government, but he chose to endure that by becoming PM after being the chief minister of Gujarat. Delivering basic amenities to the poor will only be possible when one has honest methods, compassion towards the poor, and welfare of the poor as the priority, he said.

Further, he thanked the woman voters who he claims paved the for BJP's huge victories.

Modi said that when people ask him why he is not taking care of himself when he is out in the field, he replies that he has the blessings of many mothers and sisters. They have assured that the BJP government provides them with the best care., he said.

Modi said that though the people of Uttar Pradesh were looked at through the lens of caste, they chose the politics of development during 2014, 2017 and 2022. He added UP results serve the lesson that caste pride should not be used to break India but for uniting the nation.

The poll results came out on Thursday, suggesting BJP's rule in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Manipur. It is only one seat short in Goa to become the single majority.
