‘As a voter, I want these fulfilled’: Vishal’s request to CM Vijay
text_fieldsChennai: Vishal congratulated Vijay after the actor-turned-politician assumed office as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Through social media posts, Vishal said it was a matter of pride to see a person from the film industry rise to the top political office in the state and expressed hope that Vijay’s tenure would mark a new phase for Tamil Nadu. He also extended greetings to the newly elected MLAs and ministers in the new government.
Along with his congratulatory message, Vishal also raised a series of civic and administrative concerns before the new Chief Minister. Speaking both as a voter and as someone who has known Vijay personally for more than three decades, the actor highlighted the difficulties faced by women police personnel deployed on roads during the Chief Minister’s travel between his residence and the Secretariat. Vishal pointed out that many women officers are forced to stand for hours in extreme heat without adequate facilities and urged the government to arrange mobile toilet units for them.
The actor also called for urgent intervention in Tamil Nadu’s long-standing infrastructure problems. He demanded action to improve roads that have remained in poor condition for years and asked the government to introduce scientific drainage systems to prevent waterlogging during heavy rains. Vishal said addressing such everyday public issues would define the quality of governance under the new administration.
Several personalities from the Tamil film industry also greeted Vijay after his swearing-in ceremony. SJ Suryah, who previously directed Vijay in films, also congratulated him and said it was a significant moment to witness his journey from “Ilaya Thalapathy” to “Thalapathy” and now to becoming one of the youngest Chief Ministers in Tamil Nadu’s history.
