Arvinder Singh Lovely, President of Delhi Congress, steps down

New Delhi: Delhi Congress officials have announced that Arvinder Singh Lovely, the president of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, has resigned from his position.

Lovely conveyed his dissatisfaction with the party's choice to form an alliance with AAP in his resignation letter, the New Indian Express reported.

"The Delhi Congress Unit was against an alliance with a Party which was formed on the sole basis of leveling false, fabricated and malafide corruption charges against the Congress Party. Despite that, the Party made a decision to ally with the AAP in Delhi...," Lovely wrote in his resignation letter.
