Air India extends flight cancellations to Tel Aviv amid ongoing conflict in Israel

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing conflict in Israel, Air India has announced the extension of flight cancellations to and from Tel Aviv until October 14, 2023.
The decision has been made to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members.
An airline spokesperson stated, "Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will remain suspended till 14th October 2023, for the safety of our passengers and crew."
Air India has expressed its commitment to providing full support to passengers who hold confirmed bookings on any flight during this period.
Air India typically operates five weekly flights to Tel Aviv from the national capital on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. This decision to suspend flights comes in response to the recent conflict in Israel, which began when Hamas militants launched an attack on the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Israel, condemning the attacks as "terrorist attacks." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also characterised the situation as a state of war in Israel.
