Bengaluru (Karnataka): Police raided a hotel in the city on Sunday night, where a party was going on, and arrested Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor for drug abuse.

Siddhanth Kapoor, who is the son of Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor, was among the 35 people who were suspected of having consumed drugs, India Today reported.

Siddhanth Kapoor's sample was among the six that turned out to be positive.

The police raided the hotel on MG road following a tip off that a party was being hosted involving drugs.

Officials are clueless as to whether the party-goers had consumed drugs elsewhere and came to the party at the hotel.

Siddhanth Kapoor is noted for his role as Chintu Dedha in the 2020 web series 'Bhaukaal'.

Aside from acting in movies including 'Shootout at Wadala', 'Ugly, 'Haseena Parkar', 'Chehre', he was an assistant director to films like 'Bhagam Bhag', 'Chup Chup Ke', 'Bhool Bhulaiyya', and 'Dhol'.

The Narcotics Control Bureau earlier questioned Shakti Kapoor's daughter Shraddha Kapoor, among others, over alleged possession of drugs that emerged during the probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. However, nothing substantial was found during the quiz.

NCB questioned Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone in September 2020 based on WhatsApp chats unearthed during the probe of the drugs case after Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
