Aurangabad/ Bihar: A 13-year-old Dalit girl died on the spot in Bihar’s Aurangabad district when three men rammed their car into the Dalit girls celebrating holi, The Siasat Daily reported.

Of the three accused—identified as Ranjay Kumar alias Sunny Singh, Vinod Singh and Sanjay Singh—Ranjay Kumar is the son of former Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) district president Manoj Singh.

It is reported that the 13-year-old girl refused to entertain casteist remarks that the trio hurled at her.

Rajkumar Paswan, the father of the deceased Dalit girl, in his complaint said that his daughter was celebrating holi with her cousins when the accused came over and hurled casteist remarks at them.

Paswan in his police complaint quoted the accused as asking the girls: ‘You harijan girls want to play Holi? Come, we will play Holi with you’.

When the girls ignored them, the accused got enraged and rammed their vehicle into them killing the 13-year-old on the spot.

Despite the incident triggered protests, police have not yet arrested any of the accused.

Meanwhile, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) district president Manoj Singh and Ranjay Kumar’s father, Manoj Singh, said his son was not guilty.

Alongside blaming on ‘political factors’ to tarnish his image, he said the driver lost control of the vehicle, adding that ‘No one had the intention to commit the incident and murder.’

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
