Shah Rukh Khan meets Lionel Messi in Kolkata during GOAT Tour

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan met Argentine football legend Lionel Messi on Saturday, who is currently in India as part of his "GOAT Tour."

Messi’s tour will cover four cities: Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi. In videos circulating online, Shah Rukh is seen greeting Messi during his Kolkata visit. The actor’s youngest son, AbRam Khan, who accompanied him, was also seen taking pictures with the football star.

Shah Rukh Khan is set to next feature in the upcoming film King, which stars his daughter Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh on 2023’s blockbuster Pathaan. King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Marflix Pictures.

Messi arrived in India along with his long-time strike partner, Luis Suárez and Argentina teammate Rodrigo De Paul. During the tour, Messi is scheduled to meet chief ministers, corporate leaders, Bollywood celebrities, and will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 15.

This is not Messi’s first visit to India. He previously toured the country in 2011, leading the Argentina national team in a match against Venezuela held at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium.
