American singer Selena Gomez has offered her Instagram followers a peek into an upcoming documentary titled Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me. Directed by Madonna: Truth or Dare fame Alek Keshishian, it is expected to be a raw and intimate project.

The Instagram video shared by the singer showed seats in an empty private screening room. The screen showed the opening slate of the documentary. Her caption read: "Wanna hear a part of my story...My Mind & Me coming soon to @AppleTVPlus."

Apple TV's press release on the documentary said: "After years in the limelight, Selena Gomez achieves unimaginable stardom. But just as she reaches a new peak, an unexpected turn pulls her into darkness. This uniquely raw and intimate documentary spans her six-year journey into a new light."

Growing up as a Disney child actor, Selena has always been exposed to paparazzi and critics. Her relationships, struggle with health issues, and work has been continuously scrutinised. The 30-year-old is a vocal advocate of mental health.

The documentary will cover her career as well as her personal mental health journey. It will focus on a six-year period of her life. Selena has spoken about her experience with anxiety and depression. In 2020, she disclosed her bipolar diagnosis. A few months ago, she launched a content hub, Wondermind, to give a platform for mental health and wellness.

It has not yet been revealed when Selena: My Mind and Me will be released.
