Towards the end of his career, his coworkers pointed out his resemblance to the actor. He searched the name Rajinikanth on Google and realised the similarities indeed existed, reported Arab News.

After retiring from public service, he started using social media more. When he posted photos and videos of himself, people started calling him by the name of south Indian action start. After this, he started imitating the unique style and mannerisms of Rajinikanth. He has been enjoying the attention he receives from netizens. People from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, and the UAE comment on his social media posts.
