New Delhi : "Way to go, Writing With Fire," Priyanka Chopra wrote in an Instagram Story about her love for the movie. She uploaded a picture of the poster and wrote, "Way to go, team!". In her Instagram Stories, Priyanka Chopra has mentioned that she enjoyed the movie writing with fire.

"Congratulations on your Oscar nomination!" She has also tagged the filmmakers, Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh, who directed the documentary. The film won an Academy Award under the Best Documentary Feature category last month.

The movie traces the struggle of a newspaper Khabar Lahariya. Khabar Lahariya is a community newspaper run by Dalit women in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh that undergoes a transition from print to the digital age in Writing With Fire.



Despite shooting over five years, Writing With Fire is the first Indian documentary ever selected for the feature-length category.

Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) has also been awarded several film festival awards. Ascension, Attica, Flee, and Summer of Soul will compete for the Best Documentary Feature award.

Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh celebrated Writing With Fire's Oscar nomination with a video. With the caption, "Oh My God. Just saw that Writing With Fire was nominated." they watched the Oscar nomination in the video.
