Chennai: Actor Parthiban comes across as somebody who behaves straight from the shoulder.

His strong character in Malayalam movie, "Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka" endeared him to Malayalees.

In the movie he appeared bold and brash but with a loving heart.

It seems at heart the actor-director Parthiban is no different from his character in the movie.

On Sunday, he got all huffy at the launch of the first song of his upcoming directorial venture 'Iravin Nizhal'.

Parthiban lost cool and threw microphone at the audience, according to India Today.

A R Rahman who composed songs for the movie stood aghast at Parthiban's unruly behaviour.

Quickly regaining composure, Parthiban applogised for his short temper.

He said that he was under a lot of pressure and didn't think it through.

Alongside acting, Parthiban has been busy with the movie 'Iravin Nizhal'.

At the mega music launching event in Chennai, Parthiban and AR Rahman were chatting with each other on the stage.

It was then Robo Shankar asked him to hand over the microphone.

For no reason Parthiban lost cool and threw the microphone at him leaving AR Rahman and others speechless.

He was reportedly heard as saying, "You should have asked this before".

Quickly apologising, he said that he was under a lot of pressure after sleepless nights.

Iravin Nizhal features Parthiban, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anandha Krishnan and Brigida Saga in key roles.

The film traces the life of a 50-year-old man who looks back at his early years.
