The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have unveiled the first look of Nayanthara from the film, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans across social media.

The actress will be seen portraying the character Ganga in the upcoming project headlined by Yash.

The newly released poster shows Nayanthara in a powerful and intense avatar. She is seen holding a gun while standing at what appears to be the entrance of a grand casino, hinting at her role as a strong and fearless woman. Soon after the image was shared, fans flooded social media with reactions, with one comment reading, “Lady Superstar Nayanthara as Ganga. Couldn’t get any bigger and better.”

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic marks Nayanthara’s collaboration with Yash, who plays the lead role. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, alongside Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2.

Speaking about casting Nayanthara, Mohandas said she wanted to present the actor in a completely new light. She described Nayanthara as a performer with a commanding screen presence and said that audiences will see a side of her talent that has remained unexplored. Mohandas added that as filming progressed, she realised how closely the actor’s personality resonated with the essence of the character.

The film has already revealed the first looks of other key characters, including Kiara Advani as Nadia and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth. Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after KGF: Chapter 2 and has been in development for a considerable time.

The film is being made in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in several Indian languages. It is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur and editor Ujwal Kulkarni.
