Navya Nair harassed during Pathirathri promotions, co-star Soubin Shahir steps in

The incident took place at a mall in Kozhikode following the movie’s audio launch, and a video of the moment has circulated widely online.
As Navya was leaving the venue with the Pathirathri team, someone in the crowd reached out and attempted to touch her inappropriately from behind. Her co-star, Soubin Shahir, quickly intervened, blocking the person’s hand and preventing the situation from escalating.
The clip also shows both Navya and Soubin glaring furiously at the offender.
The video quickly went viral on social media, drawing strong criticism from many users against the anonymous miscreant.
Navya Nair, one of the most popular actresses in Malayalam cinema, has been active in the industry for 25 years. She made her debut with Ishtam (2001) and has delivered notable performances in films like Mazhathullikkilukkam, Kunjikoonan, Nandanam, Kalyanaraman, Vellithira, Gramophone, Jalolsavam, Chathikkatha Chanthu, Pandippada, Kanne Madanguka, Saira, and Oruthee. She is a two-time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress.
Pathirathri, directed by Ratheena, known for her critically acclaimed Puzhu (2022) starring Mammootty, is set to release on October 17.
The film stars Ann Augustine, Sunny Wayne, Athmiya Rajan, Sabareesh Varma, Harisree Ashokan, Achyuth Kumar, Indrans, and Thejas.
It is written by Shaji Maraad, with cinematography by Shehnad Jalal, music composed by Jakes Bijoy, and editing by Sreejith Sarang.
