Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway impacted me deeply, says Alia Bhatt

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Alia Bjatt said that she spent Saturday night watching Rani Mukerji's film 'Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway". She took to Instagram to talk about the film's impact.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is based on the real-life incident of an Indian immigrant family living in Norway. The childcare system of the European nation deems the mom unfit and takes away her children. The movie follows the two-year-long journey of the mother to reunite with them.

Alia on an Instagram story said that the movie about a struggling mother impacted her deeply. The actress is also a new mother. She also praised Rani Mukerji and Jim Sarbh who played the main characters.

She wrote, "Saturday night was spent in tears with my mom and sister as we watched our favourite - the brilliant Rani Mukherjee. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is such an important story to tell. For me, especially as a new mother, it hit so much harder and so much closer to home. Rani ma'am, there is no one like you! You had me transfixed and I was transported right by your side from Norway to India. Congratulations to the full team for this incredible film. The film has been impressing critics and audiences alike since its release. Earlier, Katrina Kaif also praised the film and wrote on Instagram stories. Huge congratulations to the entire team." She also called it a "must-watch".
