Janhvi Kapoor, who made a successful debut in Bollywood with the film "Dhadak" in 2018, is looking forward to embracing glamorous roles and exploring the realm of comedy.

After gaining recognition for her roles in critically acclaimed films like "Gunjan Saxena", "Roohi", and "Mili", Janhvi now aims to rekindle her interest in roles that allow her to showcase her glamour and comedic talents.

The actress, paired opposite Ishaan Khatter in her debut film, initially gained prominence through Shashank Khaitan’s romantic drama "Dhadak". While she could have opted for more conventional and glamorous roles, Janhvi consciously chose roles that would challenge her acting prowess and allow her to venture into uncharted territories. Her performances, particularly her portrayal of an epileptic patient in Nitesh Tiwari’s "Bawaal", were highly appreciated.

Janhvi acknowledges that her journey has been largely characterised by roles involving pain and turmoil. Consequently, she is now eager to reconnect with her natural flair for glamorous roles and comedy. In an interview with Times of India, she stated, “I want to look good and dance a little bit on screen because somewhere along this journey, I forgot that is what comes naturally to me the most. So, I think it is time for me to go back to my natural state for a bit.”

Turning towards her upcoming projects, Janhvi Kapoor recently made a cameo appearance in a song in the film "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani". Her next major project is Sharan Sharma’s sports drama "Mr. and Mrs. Mahi", where she stars alongside Rajkummar Rao. The film is slated for release on March 15, 2024. She is also set to make her Telugu debut in "Devara" alongside Junior NTR and Saif Ali Khan, directed by Koratala Siva. This Telugu venture is scheduled to hit the screens on April 5 next year. Notably, she is also reported to be part of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action entertainer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan".
