Fan asks Deepika Padukone to take selfie with Messi at World Cup

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was on her way to Qatar World Cup when a fan at Mumbai Airport requested that she take a selfie with Argentinian player Lionel Messi and post it. She will be unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The fan told her: "Ma'am Messi ke saath ek photo leke daal do, hum bohot bade fan hain" (please take a photo with Messi and most. I am a big fan). Deepika answered with a smile and said "Batati hu" (will tell).
The World Cup final is scheduled to take place in Qatar on December 18. Deepika's Pathaan co-star Shah Rukh Khan will also be at the venue promoting their film.
Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter revealed that he will be watching the final match between Argentina and France in a studio with Wayne Rooney, the English association football manager. "Pathaan 18 December ki shaam hogi shaandaar (18 December evening will be awesome) Dekhiye FIFA World Cup Final mere saath (watch the finale of FIFA World Cup) with me) LIVE on Jio Cinema and Sports 18," he wrote.
Deepika Padukone's appearance at the airport is her first public one since the controversy over her song Besharam Rang broke. The actress seemed unfazed by the slutshaming and boycott calls. She greeted the paparazzi with a smile and dressed in a beige coloured windbreaker jacket. She also nodded at the things photographers were saying.
Pathaan is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023.
