Exciting news for Dhanush fans as the actor has revealed a new poster for his upcoming film, Ilaiyaraaja, on social media.

The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran, is a biopic of the legendary musician Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.

The poster release coincides with Ilaiyaraaja's birthday and features the message, “Happy Birthday, Maestro.”

In the animated poster, the main character is seen facing a vast crowd of fans, with a harmonium and drums also visible on stage. The poster captures the spirit of Ilaiyaraaja's musical journey and influence. Ilaiyaraaja, who turns 81 today, is honored in the caption by Dhanush, who tagged the music icon and wrote, “Happy birthday to the one and only Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja sir.”

Ilaiyaraaja's illustrious career spans over five decades, during which he has composed more than 7,000 songs. His contributions to music have earned him prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.

Kamal Haasan also celebrated Ilaiyaraaja's birthday with a heartfelt post. Sharing two pictures on social media, one with Ilaiyaraaja and another with director Mani Ratnam (who shares the same birthday), Kamal Haasan expressed his joy. He wrote in Tamil, “Double happiness is a strange phrase. Can happiness be measured? But today exemplifies it as it is the birthday of my elder brother and younger brother.” He added, “My beloved brother Ilayaraja will tell the story in music; Anbuth Thambi Maniratnam who adds a touch of charm to screenwriting... I wish you both a happy birthday. May the legacy of our trio continue forever.”

Ilaiyaraaja is being produced by Sriram Bakthisaran, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Ilamparithy Gajendran, and Saurabh Mishra.

The film will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, promising to reach a wide audience.
