South Indian actor Dhanush just made his Hollywood debut with The Gray Man on Netflix. And the actor just confirmed that he will be returning as Avik San aka The Lone Wolf in the sequel.

His statement comes a week after the Russo Brothers confirmed that Ryan Gosling will be reprising his role as Six. The movie did not do as well as expected with critics but fans are excited about Dhanush's limited appearance in the movie.

The upcoming film is expected to be a sequel as well as a spin-off.m

Dhanush tweeted: "Gray Man universe is expanding and the sequel is coming... Lone Wolf is ready, Are you?" He also shared an audio clip that hinted at the storyline of the sequel.

In the clip, Avik San was heard talking to Six about both of them chasing the same target. He asks Six to stop the search and avoid crossing paths with him at all costs. Dhanush also says that if he was to find the mystery runaway first, he will "end" them.

The directors of the film have already expressed their desire to work with Dhanush again. They told Insider: "We're fortunate enough to use Dhanush. We were not interested in him playing a one-off character who shows up just to be overcome by the lead in the film."

They added that the South Indian actor is as equally skilled and determined as Gosling is in the movie. "He has a story that will allow him to come back into the narrative at some point — as his own hero."

When the Hollywood directors spoke to the media in Mumbai, they said returning to India to work with Dhanush who is already a superstar in the country is a delight.
