Boycott Vikram Vedha trends after Hrithik Roshan hails Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha
text_fieldsLooks like the netizens in our country can't get enough of boycotting films. And now the latest target of trolls is Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movie Vikram Vedha after the actor had recently taken to Twitter and supported Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha. He had praised Aamir and the movie on social media but little did the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai actor know that his tweet will lead to #BoycottVikramVedha so much so that it's already trending on Twitter.
Many have even threatened to boycott the film. This comes after Aamir Khan's film, Laal Singh Chaddha, faced a major boycott.
On Saturday, August 13, Hrithik Roshan reviewed Aamir Khan's film Laal Singh Chaddha by tweeting, "Just watched LAAL SINGH CHADDA. I felt the HEART of this movie. Pluses and minuses aside, this movie is just magnificent. Don't miss this gem guys ! Go ! Go now . Watch it. It's beautiful. Just beautiful (sic)."
While many called for a boycott of Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film Vikram Vedha, many asked why Hrithik did not Tweet or write anything after the massive success of The Kashmir Files.
Laal Singh Chaddha faced a lot of controversy even before its release. There was a Twitter trend on boycotting the film, over statements made by Aamir and Kareena in the past. Aamir has even apologised to the audience and requested them to watch the film in the theatres. Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, featuring Tom Hanks. The Advait Chandan directorial also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. It marks the Bollywood debut of South actor Naga Chaitanya. Laal Singh Chaddha was earlier scheduled for Baisakhi release, but the makers postponed the film's release date to August 11, 2022.
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha is the Hindi remake of the superhit Tamil film Vikram Vedha. It is helmed by the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri.
