Mumbai: Karan Johar has offered a glimpse into Ananya Panday's debut web series "Call Me Bae," unveiling the first look and providing intriguing insights into her character.

Ananya Panday, following a remarkable 2023 with the success of "Dream Girl 2" and her acclaimed performance in "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan," is set to embark on another noteworthy project: her debut web series titled "Call Me Bae."

The excitement surrounding this venture heightened as producer Karan Johar unveiled the first look today, introducing Ananya's character's transformation from heiress to hustler, sparking anticipation and curiosity.

Today, Amazon Prime Video also unveiled its upcoming lineup, along with the highly anticipated series "Call Me Bae."

Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a captivating still of Ananya Panday in character as Bae. Ananya exudes sophistication and style in a stunning blush pink dress, accentuated by statement earrings and glamorous makeup, showcasing her character's evolution.

Teasing about the character and the series' storyline, Karan's caption provides a tantalizing glimpse into the narrative: "Downsized from heiress to hustler, Bae discovers that her most valuable assets aren’t her diamonds, but her street smarts and style. Broke but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens, and her better self."

The upcoming series "Call Me Bae" is created by Ishita Moitra and directed by Collin D’cunha.

Alongside Ananya Panday, the show features a stellar ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.

Penned by writers Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, the series is produced under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment Pvt Ltd by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.

"Call Me Bae" is scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime Video, with the official release date yet to be announced.
